The Morrígan is a symbol of feminine strength, wisdom, and power. Though she may be attached to the cloak of death she also is the light in the weariness of battle. When warriors are in doubt, the Morrígan will appear and lead the way to victory. She might also fly over the battle screaming like a banshee causing fear and confusion. She is a majestic and ethereal being that resides at the core of Irish mythology. The Morrígan exists between the worlds of life and death. The main symbol of the Morrígan is the crow or raven. This is due to the fact that she chooses this form more than other figures. The crow is a symbol of conflict, war, and death. It’s skill is wisdom combined with trickery. It also is the protector of sacred records. The Morrígan is often described as a triple deity or trio of individuals, all sisters, called "the three Morrígna".
Note on Invoking the Morrigan: The Morrigan rules over death and the underworld. She dwells in shadows and the battlefields. Invoke her as the death goddess or in one of her other aspects. It is not recommended for a novice practitioner to invoke her. Learn about the Morrigan, yes, but find another deity to invoke first. She will be there when you are ready to dedicate yourself.
You will receive 1 sample size jar (.75" tall x 1.375" dia) of Morrigan incense, approximately .2 oz of incense (sample size). Do you need a incense spoon? You can find the spoons in the shop.
