Please expect some slight variations as they are made individually by hand and not machine made. Hand forged iron twisted and hammered by blacksmith Vern with the Blacksmith Shop Omaha. Vern is retired and enjoys making each item. Vern uses a "soft iron". It is iron but it's softer than say old iron railroad nails. He said no one can get hard iron anymore unless they find it in a junk yard. He said that soft iron is what he's used all 40 years of blacksmithing. I hope this answers any questions.
