To burn a smudge stick: just light the tip, blow it out and either wave in air or place in a fire proof glass or metal container with enough sand or salt placed in the bottom to hold the smudge upright. To extinguish, invert smudge into the sand or salt to smother. Smudges put out a lot of soothing smoke. After smudging lay it in a fireproof bowl or Abalone Shell to let burn completely out. The cleansing power of the shells helps to keep the sage energized for the next go around. These are 4" long and you can get MANY uses from one bundle. You will receive ONE Sage wand per order.
